Rafal Mrzyglocki: 30 years of engineering excellence behind the global stage
For 30 years, Rafal has turned ambition into precision - building a global AV ecosystem trusted by brands, agencies, and institutions.

Some want to be in the spotlight. Others make sure the stage never fails.
For three decades, Rafał Mrzyglocki has been the latter - the steadfast architect behind the technical and creative foundations of some of the world’s most demanding productions, particularly in the domain of event technology.
As CEO of ARAM, co-founder of A-RENTAL, and the visionary behind AV LIGHT, Mrzyglocki has spent 30 years turning complexity into clarity, stress into structure, and creative ambition into flawless execution. His calm confidence comes not from titles, but from experience – earned on show floors, backstage corridors, and in production warehouses around the world.
We’ve built three companies centered around entertainment technology and production. While each could operate independently, together they have significantly greater power to serve.— Rafal Mrzyglocki
A global breakthrough: esports as ARAM’s launchpad
While ARAM was already respected in broadcast and live production, its path to global recognition began in 2014 with its entry into esports – a young, fast-evolving industry where esports video production required fast, scalable, and immersive delivery. ARAM was contracted by ESL, the world’s largest esports company, to provide design and technical production for their flagship shows, worldwide. It was a turning point that would transform the company’s trajectory.
From the Barclays Center in New York to Lanxess Arena in Cologne and Oracle Arena in Oakland, ARAM became ESL’s trusted global partner, delivering massive LED-powered stages, complex multimedia systems, video walls, and robust arena sound equipment. These systems powered some of the most-watched live events globally.
We know how to find the balance between creative freedom and project optimization -delivering the wow effect while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
With each production, ARAM demonstrated not only AV reliability but also bold creative vision under pressure, applying advanced LED screen technology and technical event production principles at scale.
From family legacy to global force
Born into a family where creativity met technology, Mrzyglocki began his journey early. His father, Adam Mrzyglocki, was a pioneer in lighting design for Polish television and founded ARAM in 1988. But in 1997, tragedy struck with Adam’s sudden death, leaving 17-year-old Rafał with a decision: walk away or carry forward the family vision.
At first, it wasn’t ambition that drove me – it was survival," Rafal recalls. What followed was a journey that transformed ARAM from a local broadcast support company into a globally recognized event production company.
Under his leadership - and later with his brother Michal as a key partner - ARAM evolved from Polish television shows to full-scale international projects, from "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Voice" to major esports tournaments like Intel Extreme Masters, PUBG Global Championship Finals, and Pokémon Europe International Championships. The company also expanded into cultural experiences, including the MONDO-nominated "Sistine Chapel: Heritage" immersive installation.
ARAM, A-RENTAL, and AV LIGHT: a seamless ecosystem
What sets Mrzyglocki apart is not just his story but the AV ecosystem he created. His three companies – ARAM, A-RENTAL, and AV LIGHT – together provide turnkey solutions for immersive, live events and permanent installations worldwide.
ARAM: creative engineering and global technical-production
Combines technical excellence with creative direction, covering everything from concept and system design to on-site execution for esports events, concerts, brand activations, and immersive installations - worldwide.A-RENTAL: equipment dry-hire
Eastern Europe’s largest AV rental company, ensuring every piece of gear is tested, documented, and delivered with precision. Serving productions across Europe, the U.S., Asia, and the Middle East.AV LIGHT: distribution
As a exclusive distributor of cutting-edge lighting from GLP and DVT, FRAMELED multimedia and led displays systems, stage automation form CHAINMASTER, AV LIGHT advises clients on technology strategies, equipping them with tools built for both reliability and the future.
We’re probably one of the rare examples where a dry-hire business doesn’t overlap with production. It requires a lot of discipline—but we make it work.
"The show is not the test. The prep is."
Despite the scale and spectacle of large productions, Mrzyglocki remains grounded in one powerful belief: the magic lies in preparation and planning.
"The show is not the test. The prep is," he often says. The goal isn’t just to deliver a show - it’s to ensure everything works when it matters most. His teams ask the questions no one else thinks to ask. They test, label, verify, and follow up - because in this world, reliability isn’t a checklist, it’s a culture.
Thought leadership and the path forward
Beyond operations, Mrzyglocki is an active voice in the industry through his super-fast growing blogs -Entertainment Insights and Entertainment Technology - and as a Supervisory Board Member of the Polish Chamber of Stage Technology. He champions education, standardization, and ethics in an industry too often driven by short-term margins.
Looking ahead: location-based entertainment and AVL installations
Building on its success in live events and esports, ARAM is now moving into location-based entertainment (LBE) and permanent AVL installations. This isn’t a departure from their core - it’s a natural extension.
Recent projects include:
Largest racing Esports Arena in Abu Dhabi
H20 Rabo Esports Campus in Amsterdam
Broadcast studios for global media brands
Themed attractions across the Middle East and Europe
These projects prove ARAM can design and integrate AVL with architecture to transform empty spaces into interactive, efficient, and memorable environments.
How ARAM works with clients: built to adapt. Designed to deliver.
We don’t just adapt to the brief. We adapt to the client’s thinking - and then make it real.
Join an ARAM project and one thing becomes clear: it’s not just about plugging in gear. It’s about trust. It’s about translating creative vision into technical reality, and making it bulletproof.
That trust starts with how ARAM works: adapting to project shape, team needs, and site realities. Sometimes, they’re involved from day zero - long before any light is hung or cable laid.
From feasibility studies and visual design to installation and post-launch support, they guide clients through the entire journey.
Other times, ARAM enters as a technical integrator, working alongside architects and creatives to make bold ideas technically executable.
We act as the bridge between imagination and engineering, refining system specs, identifying risks, and delivering AV solutions that work reliably, day after day.
And when time is short and specs are locked, ARAM becomes an execution partner - bringing precision and global experience to help agencies and contractors deliver AVL packages on time, on budget, and without surprises.
Sometimes, ARAM enters even earlier - as a strategic advisor helping clients validate ideas, spot blind spots, and plan the smartest path forward. These insights save months of delays and millions in cost.
In all models, one thing stays constant: experience-backed flexibility.
ARAM delivers results while matching the rhythm of each project and the language of every sector.
That’s why their clients range from:
Creative studios and designers of immersive environments
Hospitality and retail groups adding "wow" to public spaces
Game publishers and tournament organizers needing world-class experiences
Whether working on a temporary activation in London, a permanent esports venue in Riyadh, or a branded immersive space in Berlin, ARAM brings the same DNA: precision, adaptability, and commitment to making technology serve experience.
Because ultimately, the goal isn’t just to sell and install systems. It’s to build places people remember - that work flawlessly, day after day, long after the fanfare fades.
Strategic commitment
We follow our clients. They trusted us with the world’s biggest shows. Now they ask us to help create the venues of the future. And we’re ready.
With decades of trust, a proven ecosystem, and global relationships forged in esports, gaming and event production, ARAM is now shaping the next generation of story-driven, high-tech, permanent spaces.
In an industry obsessed with moments, Rafal together with his team has built a legacy on what happens before the moment - and what endures long after it.

A Personal Thank You
As I reflect on 30 years of building ARAM, A-RENTAL, and AV LIGHT, one truth stands above all:
None of this would exist without the people beside me.
To my entire team—past and present—you are the foundation of everything we’ve built. This journey has never been easy. It demanded long nights, last-minute changes, relentless standards, and constant reinvention. But having you beside me through it all has been the greatest companion I could ask for.
We didn’t just grow companies—we built something that lasts.
We didn’t just deliver shows—we earned trust.
We didn’t just survive the hard moments—we turned them into systems, lessons, and leadership.
I also want to thank a few people who have been there from the very beginning:
To my brother Michał—thank you for walking this road with me, sharing the weight, the wins, and the wild ideas.
To my mother—thank you for your strength, your calm, and the unwavering support you gave us during the most uncertain days.
And to Jurek—our very first employee, hired by my father decades ago. You’re still with us today, and that loyalty means more than words can express.
To all my colleagues and team members—it’s hard to list every name here, but please know this: I see your work, I value your dedication, and I look forward to thanking many of you in person very soon.
Life isn’t easy. And neither is this work.
But we keep showing up. We keep building.
We keep saying yes to the next challenge.
Thank you all for believing in this vision.
Thank you for helping turn it into reality—one show, one project, one perfectly packed flight-case at a time.
Here’s to what we’ve built—and what’s still ahead.
—Rafal
