ISE Barcelona felt like PROLIGHT in Frankfurt again...
Did you felt almost like Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, too ?
Walking into the lighting hall at Integrated Systems Europe this year, I had a strange feeling of déjà vu.:
For a moment, it felt almost like Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. If you ignored what was outside the windows, you could easily believe you were back there.
For those of us who have spent decades in this industry, Frankfurt was the meeting point for nearly 30 years.
And while the name and location may have changed, the atmosphere in Barcelona made one thing clear: our industry still needs these moments when the whole community comes together.
Trade shows like this compress months of conversations into just a few days.
You meet partners, reconnect with colleagues, discover what others are working on, and get a real sense of where the market is heading.
February was also a perfect moment for it — just before the production season starts, when people still have the time to travel, meet, and talk.
What I’m seeing right now is encouraging
The stage lighting market continues to grow strongly, and the multimedia and LED curtain segments are developing in interesting directions as well.
At the same time, the market seems to be stabilizing. We know which brands deliver real quality and which technologies have become industry standards.
Products which become a market standards

Personally, I remain a strong believer in products designed to last for years — not seasonal devices that change model or functionality every year.
In our business, equipment rarely pays for itself in a single season, so durability and consistency matter far more than trends.
Interestingly, many premium brands that once felt out of reach are adjusting their pricing.
Today, a lot of high-quality equipment is becoming much more accessible and aligned with the realities of production and rental markets.
I’m very curious about your perspective.
How do you see the industry evolving right now?
